Contract manufacturing is a promising area in the field of business services. Experts believe that the private label segment of companies will develop and increase its importance. As part of the annual study, Nielsen surveyed 100 Russian top managers, including CEOs and directors, in the FMCG trade. According to the survey, 67% of them planned to focus on the development of their own brands in 2025. This answer is far ahead of other options, such as launching new products (33%) and using analytics to find new opportunities or optimizations (33%).
According to GFK, by the end of 2024, the share of private labels in the FMCG market reached 11.5% (+1.2% by 2023). At the same time, brands of the middle and premium segments are growing in private label turnover, while the share of the economy segment is decreasing.
