Experts from the Association of Children's Goods Industry Enterprises forecast a 12% growth in the children's goods market, which is comparable to the dynamics of 2023, when the growth was 13% — up to 1.174 trillion rubles. Experts also note that the inflation factor influences the increase in market volumes in monetary terms.
The share of local manufacturers barely reaches 10%. At the same time, domestic companies were unable to compensate for the departure of famous Western brands due to parallel imports, as well as a large number of Chinese goods, especially on marketplaces.
Of course, demographic trends also influence the Russian market of children's goods. Experts note the growth of the market of goods for teenagers and the reduction of the market of goods and services for newborns.
In the market structure, more than 20% falls on the segment of children's games and toys, but by the end of 2023, its volume grew by only 9%.
